Biotechnology

Department of biotechnology was established in 2002 with Biotechnology in B.Sc. There are two teaching faculty members. There is well equipped laboratory facility. Students who opt biotechnology as a subject in B.Sc Medical come to know the basic principles of  General Microbiology, introduction of biotechnology, biochemistry, Immunology, Molecular Biology, Recombinant DNA Technology, Bioinformatics, Animal Biotechnology, Plant Biotechnology, Microbial Biotechnology. Project Work during the course gives students a chance to work in the field where biotechnology is applied for benefit of mankind e.g. pharmaceutical laboratories and industrial plants utilizing biotechnology application.
